At “Project P. 224 Dancing Hearts, LLC” our prime goal is to teach different dance forms to all age groups and it is designed in a friendly way where everyone from a beginner to an expert at an advanced level, those who have a passion for dancing can be a part of our dancing family. Dance being an art form we want to spread joy and happiness in everyone's lives through the power of dance.
African Hip-Hop roots can be traced way back to the 1980s started in Africa, heavily influenced by the global rise of Hip-Hop in the United States. As African American culture gained popularity worldwide, its impact reached the shores of Africa, blending seamlessly with local music, dance, and traditions.
In 1985, Hip-Hop made a significant breakthrough in Senegal, Kenya, and South Africa as youth adopted the music, infusing it with their cultural heritage, rhythms, and languages. This marked the beginning of a unique African Hip-Hop identity, distinct from its American counterpart but deeply connected through shared themes of social justice, self-expression, and resistance. In African Hip-Hop dance traditional African dance styles and modern Hip-Hop moves are blended beautifully to get a powerful fusion. Dancers often incorporate elements from local cultural dances like Azonto (Ghana), Gwara Gwara (South Africa) and Shaku Shaku (Nigeria)
